This 49-year-old patient was suffering from painful legs and arms and was using fluid tablets to reduce the swelling. The patient has a past history of ulcerative colitis and inflammatory bowel disease; however, the biggest concern was her thighs for which she had previously had plastic surgery to remove fat.

The patient was diagnosed with Type I / II Lipoedema and her surgery was staged as a day surgery case with a minimally invasive, bilateral (both legs together) procedure, resulting in 5 litres of fat being removed from her upper legs, thighs and buttocks.

All before and after results shown were performed by Lipoedema Surgical Solution doctors. The results shown are only relevant for these patients and do not necessarily reflect the results other patients may experience, as results may vary due to many factors including the individual’s genetics, diet and exercise. Any surgical procedure carries risks. Patients should seek a second opinion.
