This 25-year-old patient has had significant burden with mobility and recently gave birth to her first child. Surgery was staged as a day surgery case with a minimally invasive, bilateral (both legs together) procedure, resulting in 6.6 litres of fat being removed from the lower legs, which includes fat around the knees.
Two months later the patient returned for her second surgery on her upper legs, which yielded 8.8 litres of fat removal. Another two months later, 8 litres was removed at her third surgery for thighs, hips and buttocks. This totals 23.4 litres of fat that has not been able to be exercised or dieted away, which will represent a significant improvement in mobility and quality of life.
The above photo is 12 months after her first surgery on lower legs.
