Delena is a fifty-year-old patient from Queensland.
Delena underwent her first surgery with Dr Lekich in December 2020, with 7.5 Litres of diseased fat being removed from her lower legs, which was unable to be dieted or exercised away.
Following her surgery Delena has continued to undergo manual lymphatic drainage therapy, as well as wearing compression garments, as part of Dr Lekich’s post-surgery protocol. As she continues to heal both of these conservative measures can be reduced and even ceased.
Pain and mobility restriction was a large motivation for Delena to have the surgery, and even at 5 weeks post-surgery these two criteria have been met.
Following her first surgery, Delena had a subsequent second surgery on her lateral thighs in February 2021, which resulted in a further 9.3 Litres of diseased fat being removed.
Delena says she is already feeling so grateful for the difference she has experienced in her legs and is currently looking forward to her upcoming third surgery.
